UK Energy Reporting

Client access

Terms of use

Last updated 25 August 2026. These terms apply whenever a person accesses a protected UK Energy Reporting dashboard, report or related client service. By signing in, the user confirms that they are authorised by the relevant client and agree to these conditions.

Permitted use

Access is provided only so the authorised user can review energy information and reports for the building or organisation for which access was issued. Login details are personal to the authorised recipient and must not be shared outside that authorised organisation.

Confidentiality

Protected dashboards, reports, methods, layouts, calculations, pricing, product information and non-public documentation are confidential. They must be kept secure and may be shared internally only with people who reasonably need them for the permitted purpose.

Intellectual property and restricted activities

UK Energy Reporting retains all rights in its software, source code, dashboard design, visual presentation, reporting formats, calculations, methods, documentation, branding and associated know-how. Except where expressly agreed in writing, users must not:

  • copy, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute or commercially exploit any protected part of the service;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, inspect or attempt to derive the source code, structure, calculations or technical operation of the service;
  • use access, screenshots, reports, observations or extracted material to create, commission, improve or assist a competing product or service;
  • remove or obscure copyright, confidentiality, ownership or watermark notices;
  • permit an unauthorised third party to access the service.

These restrictions do not limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Client data

The client retains its rights in its underlying building and consumption data. Access to that data does not transfer any rights in the UK Energy Reporting platform, presentation, analysis or reporting system.

Access and enforcement

UK Energy Reporting may suspend or withdraw access where credentials are shared, these terms are breached, or continued access could threaten the service or another client’s information. Suspected unauthorised copying or misuse may be investigated and appropriate contractual or legal remedies pursued.

Important

These online terms support, but do not replace, a signed customer agreement. For material commercial use, confidentiality arrangements or intellectual-property concerns, obtain advice from a qualified UK solicitor. Questions about these terms can be sent to sales@ukenergyreporting.co.uk.
